a new life; june of 2015

//changed coasts to follow celluloid [mostly] perhaps culture [somewhat]. jumping from cinema to cinema as if in a dream that follows the laws of stream of consciousness. realizing that the death of celluloid is one of the great crimes of our time. it is life. it's not just about art, or specifically films. it is about the life that a projector can produce only with celluloid breathing through it. unfortunately, dcp is incapable of producing this life. while digital cameras may produce many freedoms, digital projectors take them all away//

thirteen for fourteen

first tier

/disguised as a goodbye, a new beginning makes more sense
a new visual language in multiple dimensions
two ancients combined and transformed
new ones built from earth/

second tier

/the static frame relaxes
the primal state of eroticism blinds
the rise of technology warps emotions/

/mundane communications evolve,
a star is humbled,
a master relaxed
&another perfects the image/

third tier

/a true hollywood classic
&the politics it battles/
